— Knowing Our Limits —

"Therein is the tragedy. Each man is locked into a system that compels him to increase his herd without limit–in a world that is limited."

SLOW FASHION

Less is More

It's time to slow down. Increased production and consumption of fast fashion has serious and long lasting environmental impacts. SLOW FASHION production ensures quality manufacturing, lengthening the life of a garment and promotes a more ethical and sustainable way of consuming clothing.

We are proud that Kafka Simone is part of this movement and will always aim to create timeless designs with premium, long-lasting quality. Our line is tightly edited and produced in small quantities, with less waste and unparalleled care into producing every individual piece that we bring into this world.

Community

Best Coast

We deeply care about supporting and working with local businesses here in Los Angeles and prioritize partnering with manufacturers in full compliance of California labor laws. Manufacturing locally has a much smaller impact on the environment and fosters a healthy local economy. Small-scale local production helps to eliminate the waste of unnecessary overproduction and also ensures better production quality and efficiency, as we are able to control the development of the product more closely. Maintaining a close relationship with our local partners is key to creating our best work.

Quality Standard

Devil In Details

As designers, we make no compromise in the quality of our product, making sure it meets all standards and values as a business. Our commitment to mindful production ensures every piece is made with high quality craftsmanship and that no detail is overlooked. We work with some of the most skilled patternmakers and sewers in the country, allowing their expertise to produce quality pieces in eco-conscious ways.

Natural Fibers

Forever Materials

To design and produce responsibly, we choose our materials with intention and care. We are committed to only using high quality, natural fine fabrics. Natural fibers are a sustainable resource, as they are renewable, biodegradable and can be used without damaging the environment. We also prioritize sourcing organic and recycled fabrics as well as innovative fabrics such as TENCEL™ lyocell, an eco-conscious sustainable fibermanufactured using an environmentally responsible production process. Using natural fabrics in our designs also ensures better quality products that will last for lifetimes.

Digital Prints

Print Process

Our prints are digitally printed versus the standard wet print technique typically used for clothing. Digital printing significantly reduces the amount of energy and water used, offering a cleaner, more efficient production process - without compromising on quality. Digital printing also allows us to produces less and waste less which helps us make fewer and better.
